German English With the last update, the smithing station in Grounded has been revised, which allows you to improve your weapons and armor. This allows you to customize your gear more to suit your play style. Our guide shows you how to build the smithing station and which armor and weapon upgrades you can unlock with it. That's what it's all about: The smithing station is one of the most important and best structures, so you should build it as early as possible. Through the forge, you can improve all equipment in terms of strength, defense value, and durability. The sooner you make this opportunity available to you, the more likely you can benefit from it in the long term. We show you which materials you need for the smithing station and the respective weapon upgrades. To unlock the recipe for the smithing station, you must go to B.U.R.G.L. and buy it for 2500 Pure Science. However, this is only possible if you have the B.U.R.G.L. Grassland Chip. You can find it near B.U.R.G.L. Once you've unlocked the recipe, you still require some resources to build the forge. Author's tip: Upgrading weapons and equipment in the forge works instantly, so there is no need to build multiple smithing stations, as there is no real waiting time. You need all this for the construction of the smithing station: The smithing station's upgrade menu. Once you've built your forge, you're almost ready to upgrade your equipment. However, you need a lot of resources for the improvement, which also differs depending on the type of improvement. You have a total of five different upgrade paths for weapons and two different ones for armor. The first five levels are always fixed, and only for level 6 do you decide in which direction you want to improve your equipment. What are the different “flavors” for? Depending on your weapon's upgrade, you will do more damage to certain insects. Due to the introduction of the fourth type of damage, sour, it is currently no longer entirely certain which upgrade does more damage to which insect, and there is no information about the sour damage type. Therefore, below is a table of the known weaknesses of some insects. Why should I upgrade my armor with “Sleek”? The Sleek upgrade on your armor provides a specific bonus that matches your current armor. For example, you can get the “Breathtaking” bonus on a maggot vest and regenerate stamina faster. This allows for many play styles depending on what armor you equip or even combine. These upgrades give you a few ways to prepare for tough battles or even play more effectively in a team. Have you already upgraded your gear to +9 or is resource farming too strenuous for you? Let us know in the comments. Do you want to join our community and discuss Grounded?
